Friends of Trinity Academy Eppleby Forcett and Middleton Tyas is a registered charity (Registered Charity Number 1180569)
The Friends is a voluntary committee of parents and staff, and we exist to raise funding for resources and equipment that cannot be financed from the school budget. These are no longer just the added extras of school life. Over the years, The Friends has funded or part-funded the purchase of educational equipment such as art supplies, iPads, new white boards and projectors. We have also contributed to the new library shelving at the Tyas site, bought Christmas decorations for both Eppleby and Tyas schools, paid for transport for school trips, and even built an outdoor class room. Our main goal is to raise the £50,000 required to upgrade the Multi-Use Games Area (MUGA) which every child in school will use at some point in their journey with us.
Involvement in the Friends fosters involvement in the life of the school. Some of our most successful fundraising events are great social events too like our Bingo nights and Christmas Wreath Making workshops and our Christmas and Summer Fairs are highlights in the school calendar. We run some events, termly discos and film nights, expressly for the children and we provide refreshments at every school production. We are always looking for new ideas and welcome your input.
We also raise funds via Easyfundraising, MyNameTags and will be starting a 100 club soon. Details of all these can be found on the main Trinity Academy EFMT website.
We communicate all our events and news via the weekly newsletter, on this site and via our FB page. We suggest you LIKE us on FB so that you don’t miss out.
If you’re connected to the school and would like to “give something back” and you can spare an hour every now and again let us know. We meet once every half term, but if you can’t make a meeting just send us an email and we’ll be in touch. E: friends@trinityefmt.dalesmat.org
